Sankar Ayurveda Nursing Home was incepted in the year 1916 in Iringavoor, Tirur as C.S. Vaidhyor’s Ayurveda Aushadhashala by the great Ayurvedacharya Sri. C.Sankaran Vaidhyar who was related to the Vettoth Royal Family. The family was known as Iringavoor Choppans. Homespun perception and insight were used extensively by the Vaidhyar who had in depth knowledge of the traditional Ayurveda treatments. He was honoured with the Veerasrinkala by the Royal family for the commendable service rendered in the Ayurveda health care. His ideals and principles are venerated in its truest sense through generations and will continue for years to come.

The fine tradition of Ayurvedic health care is carried on by his son Sri. C. Vishwambaran aran Vaidhyar who is at the helm of Sankar Ayurvedics as the Chief Physician. After years of academics and rigorous training he obtained his Ayurvedic degree from Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam, Shornoor and soon came to be known as a physician of eminence. Sankar’s Ayurvedics flourished under his meticulous management. Patients from different parts of the globe came to seek his treatments.

Dr. C Jayaprakash B.A.M.S, D.Ac, son of Viswambaran Vaidhyar and Dr. Anitha Jayaprakash, Alumni of the Kottakkal Ayurveda College, have relentlessly pursued the fine Ayurveda traditions passed on and incorporated newer methods and state of art technology in the manufacture of Ayurveda medicines.
